When you visit the Cancun/Riviera Maya area on vacation you can’t help but notice the ads for Xcaret Park. It’s a huge tourist destination with its underground rivers, snorkeling, wildlife and Mayan cultural sites.

What’s less known about Xcaret is it’s also a popular spot (within Mexico at least) for weddings. It’s easy to see why. The park has several options for ceremonies and receptions, whether you’ve got a small group or hundreds. We recently toured the park and scouted out the destination wedding venues. Check out our photos to see for yourself.

This is the second chapel option. It’s open air and overlooks the ocean (for non-Catholic weddings).

Xcaret can also host weddings by the ocean. You can have the ceremony right on the water and then the cocktail hour or reception on the sand in front of Dos Playas restaurant.

Xcaret is full of opportunities for stunning wedding photos, like this cave filled with candles.
