2 Stunning Wedding Hairstyles From Spring 2016 Bridal Fashion Week

The runways at the Spring 2016 Bridal Fashion Week were filled with stunning dresses of course, but what caught our eye were these two gorgeous hairstyles. One’s a little more simple and the other is more of a statement ‘do, but either would be perfect for a spring or summer wedding. The hairstyles are on-trend and will keep your hair off your face (a plus on a sweaty dance floor). Check them out below and see how to recreate the looks yourself with tips from Davines master hairstylist Joseph DiMaggio.

Hair Step-by-Step:
Step 1: Prep hair by spraying a generous amount of Davines Essential VOLU Mist at the root. Follow up by brushing a volumizing mousse from root to tip to keep it smooth and in place.

Step 2: Section hair evenly from ear to ear, creating front and back sections.

Step 3: Sweep hair back in the back section into a ponytail at the occipital bone, secure with an elastic cord. Braid the ponytail and secure the ends.

Step 4: Create a strong center part in the front section and allow to hang loose temporarily.

Step 5: Brush the front section of the hair back towards the ponytail, smoothing as you go with Davines More Inside This Is A Medium Hair Spray.

Step 6: Lace the hair from the front sections underneath the ponytail and continue to wrap around the base creating a thick band over where the ponytail meets the base of the head. Use pins to secure.

Step 7: Using a variety of rhinestones, pearls and golden wraps, pin and tie throughout the length of the ponytail as you braid it.

Step 8: Control wisps and secure the look by applying a strong hold hairspray for all over for shine and hold.

Hair Step-by-Step:
Step 1: Prep hair by applying a generous amount of Davines More Inside This is A Volume Boosting Mousse onto fingertips. Distribute thoroughly from roots to ends, keeping hair smooth and in place.

Step 2: Section hair evenly from ear to ear, creating front and back sections.

Step 3: Using a blow dryer and large round brush, work to create subtle volume and bounce at the crown and top of the head by blowing hair up and away from the face.

Step 4: Once dry, use fingers to sweep the hair into a layered ponytail, securing with an elastic tie directly under the occipital bone.

Step 5: Separate your ponytail into two smaller sections and tightly twist each, securing with small elastics. Wrap into a rope braid and pin into place.

Step 6: Using fingertips, customize the braid shape by applying Davines More Inside This Is A Texturizing Dust to hands and massaging for additional structural support and texture expansion.

Step 7: Finish by applying hairspray for all over for shine and hold.
